Alumni

Dear Brothers,

After a successful year for Iota Zeta, our chapter is striving once again for excellence. With the initiation of 24 new brothers during the Fall of 2015, and with all of them coming in fired up to make an impact on the Fraternity, we are moving upwards to becoming one of the most successful chapters at this university.

The younger generations of pledge classes are making their mark, and taking the initiative while serving positions both on Admin and Exec. Currently out of the 10 Administrative positions, 4 brothers are from the Beta Eta pledge class, and out of the 7 Exec positions, 6 brothers are serving from the Beta Epsilon and Beta Zeta pledge classes, while John temple is the 7th exec member trying to mend the positions together as Director of Member Development (DMD).

As the Spring approaches, our chapter is attempting to get involved in as many ways as possible including and not limited to relay for life, fraternity/sorority philanthropies, JDRF (out philanthropy), helping out local schools, and the big event. Delts has brothers involved with different positions on campus such as IFC, Alumni associations, Hokie ambassadors, and orientations leaders. We strive to have outgoing, involved men that make a difference and lead on this chapter, and are striving to recruit men that uphold our values.

This past semester we had our second annual Delts comedy night with TFM comedian Jared Freid. It proved a success, and while lots of students around campus attended the event and had a great time, we raised thousands of dollars supporting JDRF.

This past fall brother Jake De Weerd joined the homecoming committee and ran for homecoming King.  It was an honor to have Jake on board, and it was a great experience campaigning and cheering him on to making his mark on this campus supporting his charitable platform of choice.

As Spring continues, recruitment has come upon us. With Iota Zeta growing in size and quality, we are especially eager to recruit the best possible gentlemen that we can. With a strong showing at Greek 101, we are all excited to see what is in store for this upcoming rush with notable events such as dinner at Owens and Pk’s wings night. Everyone is motivated to see the upcoming class of quality gentlemen.

TCFP,
